Sussex in crumbling financial state
HASTINGS (AAP) - Sussex Council is losing money. A lot of money, and fast.
The Council Spokesman's report is published irregularly and includes the basic financial state of health. Since Sept 1456, when the Council rejected LongJohnSilver's claims to the county lands, Sussex has lost £54.043 [Sept through Jun].
Zeathea published a Count's Message admitting the Council was out of ideas, and so are considering a law forcing mayors to pay taxes to county coffers. If everyone in Sussex paid £3 per month, the budget would be balanced. However, there has been no mention of tax amounts, or any promises that taxes will not be excessive. When asked why the tax, Zeathea responded, "Well to be blunt we are losing money."
Also, a recent trade deal for stone collapsed. Sussex maintains insufficient reserves of stone to keep the mines operating. The mine by Canterbury was chosen to be closed until more supplies of stone could be bought. Sussex now is losing £3.600 daily, or £100.000 monthly, from unminted gold.
The Council's last Spokesman's report shows a current net worth of £44.762.
