Citizens of England sign Pledge
LONDON (AAP) - Dame Millicent Lenoir began a fresh approah to making peace in England today. While pointing out what kind of problems are affecting England at the moment, several people have eagerly already signed the pledge, if sometimes edited to meet their own goals. As personal and collective efforts to refresh attitude come to light, the pledge has already met difference of opinion.
Millicent began the announcement, "It should be quite clear to anyone viewing this forum that England is anything but peaceful and united. We don't have to tolerate it and we don't have to contribute to it. While everyone else is pointing the blame elsewhere how about each of us instead do what we can to stop it?
"The only place to begin to do that is with yourself. Take a moment to post a reply in this thread reciting either a copy of my pledge below or one composed by yourself."
While Chrisius Maximus, soldier commanding the Northern Border at the moment, commented that although he would like to sign the pledge, it would be difficult for him to live up to as many issues press on his temper. Lady Allikath, Countess of Bradford and Speaker of the Houses of Parliament, matched the Chrisius' sentiment with somewhat similar opinion, "I wish I could make that pledge as is but the very nature of the current situation and the people who are deliberately causing strife and dissention amongst us make it impossible at this time."
Despite the hesitant opinion spoken by some, thanks and support has been lended to Millicent for her efforts; "Thank you Dame Millicent for putting words to a feeling I think many in the Kingdom are experiencing right now as they watch the frenzied activity in the Castle, Parliament, and Commons with growing incredulity and concern," said Lady Grizelda von Liechenstein.
Mr. Jewbeard also shared the same view, "They cannot hurt you when they say the horrible things to you and about you. They cannot hurt you if you are committed to following the better path. As angry as you may be, as much as you may hate some people ... someone has to be the bigger person, and be the first to let it go. Please commit, and we will all support each other. We can make this happen."
